Only one client was seen in morning clinic. She had come here in the early 90's and had her hearing evaluated and purchased aids. Her original configuration was very interesting; she had a loss in the low and high frequencies, but at 1000 Hz and 2000 Hz, she was within normal limits. She came in last Wednesday to have her aids checked/cleaned and it was determined that she might need new aids. She came back in today to have a full audiological evaluation. ART was tested, but decay was not. SRT and WR testing were performed first. The client had rather poor scores...I didn't get to see the actual scores, but from what I heard, she missed quite a few. The audiogram had also changed. At most frequencies it was only 5 dB lower, but at one it was 20 dB lower. They had just placed the bone oscillator on the client when my time was up.
