Today I saw 3 hearing evaluations. Two of the men were from Environmental Health and Safety. The one gentelman had hearing thresholds within normal limits bilaterally. The other man had a gradually falling high frequency hearing loss bilaterally. Hearing protection was recommended for both men, but they stated they already had some.
The last client I saw was a man from a group home. His caregiver stated he had cerumen removed about a month ago. His tympanograms were normal bilaterally. Soundfield testing was used and he responded at 5-10 dB HL. Testing was still being performed when I had to leave.
