Yesterday in clinic the first client was not until 10:00 and they cancelled, but luckily the 10:30 client came early. The client was a 55 year old male who had been having difficulty hearing his students in class. They performed an otoscopic examination, which showed no signs of TM problems or excessive wax build up. The tymps were also normal. The puretone testing did show signs of a hearing loss. After medical clearance, they recommended the client come back in for a hearing aid fitting. It was a really interesting session...I hope to be in the clinic if the client comes back so I can see the follow-up.
